R.I.P! Leroi Moore, the founder and saxophonist of rock group the Dave Matthews Band, has died August 29, 2008, from the complications originated from an earlier all-terrain vehicle (ATV) injuries. He was 47 years old.
“We are deeply saddened that LeRoi Moore, saxophonist and founding member of Dave Matthews Band, died unexpectedly Tuesday afternoon, August 19, 2008, at Hollywood Presbyterian Medical Center in Los Angeles from sudden complications stemming from his June ATV accident on his farm near Charlottesville, Virginia,” the Dave Matthews Band posted the statement about Leroi Moore’s death on its website.
