Bristol Palin Pregnancy Rumor

Bristol Palin is the 17-year-old daughter of Governor of Alaska Sarah Palin. The blogosphere now is buzzing that her youngest brother Trig Paxson Van Palin born with Downs Syndrome is not the fifth child of her mom but herself’s. Various blogs speculated that Sarag Palin, picked as Republic presidential candidate John McCain’s Vice President running-mate yesterday, had hide Bristol Palin’s pregnancy and pretended to be pregnant herself.

According to a post on The Daily Kos, Sarah Palin’s five month-old son Trig may not actually be hers. The author speculates that the child, who was born with Down syndrome, may actually belong to Governor Palin’s seventeen year old daughter Bristol.
There are a few pieces of “evidence” upon which the author stakes his claim:
- No one knew about Sarah Palin’s pregnancy until March, a month and a half before Trig was born. The pregnancy reportedly came as a surprise to even Palin’s own staff.
- Palin appeared extremely thin for a pregnant woman until the very last month. She even appeared lithe and slender in Vogue about 4 months before Trig’s birth.
- Palin’s daughter Bristol supposedly stayed out of school for several months during the past school year, citing a case of mononeucleosis to explain her absence.

Here’s a report (excerpted from the popular blog The Moderate Vpoice):
[Governor Palin’s] oldest girl is rumored to have actually been the one who had the last baby, the one with Down’s Syndrome. She was taken out of school the last 4 or 5 months of her mother’s pregnancy.
On March 5th, 2008 Alaska’s Republican Governor, Sarah Palin, announced to the media that she was 7 months pregnant with her 5th child. She is currently 44.
Palin’s daughter Bristol is 16 and attends an Anchorage high school. Students who have attended class with her report that she has been out of school for months, claiming a prolonged case of mono.
Palin does not appear pregnant in any recent photographs. The announcement came as quite a shock to people who had worked closely with her, and have been quoted as saying that she did not appear pregnant whatsoever during the prior 7 months.

All you small minded people who are crucifying Governor Palin over the question of her fifth child, are just fueling a vicious smear campaign. Besides, if you want to exhibit your holier-than-thou attitude … why don’t you get even more angry at Obama, Michelle, and their children, for spending 20 years in an anti-American racist church, as well as associations with Farrakhan, Wright, Ayers, Rezko, etc.. These facts are much more relevant to the next administration, than the possibility of a loving mother taking the heat to protect her child and grandchild.

The whole scenario fits together logically like this:
Bristol originally got pregnant last fall not by the boy they are now claiming to be the current father, but by a full-blooded Inuit or Eskimo. Bristol insisted on having an abortion, but her mother forbade her. Bristol ended up agreeing to have the baby under two conditions: 1. She would stay home from school until the baby was born, and 2. Her mother would claim that the child was actually hers. This second condition actually was a stone that killed two birds, since it would explain the baby’s squinty-eyed appearance, since they could say that because Sarah is an older mother, the baby has Down’s syndrome. Some years later, of course, it will turn out that the baby doesn’t have Down’s syndrome — but that could just be chalked up as another “miracle.” I’m not saying the family had any discriminatory feelings about Inuits — we all know they are great, upstanding people — but they do tend to have eyes pulled back at the edges, and this was going to take some explaining!
So far, so good. We all know that Bristol stayed home those five months, and Sarah claimed to have miraculously given birth to a baby, even though she hasn’t looked pregnant beforehand.
Then, last Sunday morning, because of Sarah’s nomination has McCain’s VP, the bloggers started surmising most of the truth. Sarah, Bristol and their family and cohorts looked like they were going to be caught in their lie, so as a last-ditch effort they claimed that Bristol was five months pregnant. This apparently solves the problem, since if this were true Bristol could never have given birth to Trig (so-named because of the one son and two-mother triangle).
Just one more lie, to cover up the whole preceding string. This one seems to be working. Even the bloggers seem to have mostly fallen off from the track. Later, it will turn out that Bristol will have “unfortunately” miscarried the baby. But that won’t be until after the election in November.

The scenario that Frank lays out works very well. Another aspect of this story to consider is the timeline hidden from public view. Depending on Bristol’s age and when things actually occurred, a pregnancy at 15 years old might involve rape charges. That would get messy.
Last check of the hospital’s website, no announcement of the first family’s birth on the day they claim, April 18, 2008. Seems like a proud hospital would want to announce the arrival of the governor son. http://www.matsuregional.com/nursery/show_day.php?month=04&year=2008&day=18
