Britney Spears’ “Piece of Me” Best Female Video on 2008 Video Music Awards

Britney Spears‘ “Piece of Me” won her Best Female Video trophy on 2008 Video Music Awards at Paramount Pictures studio in Los Angeles, beating Rihanna, Katy Perry, Mariah Carey and Jordin Sparks. This is the first time for Britey Spears to win an VMA after sixteen unsuccessful nominations.
“I’m speechless. This is an honor. I just want to thank God first and foremost for blessing me like this, my beautiful family, my two beautiful boys for inspiring me everyday and my fans, this is for you,” said Britney in her acceptance speech.
Update: Britney Spears also won the awards “Best Pop Video,” “Video of the Year.”
