Manuel Uribe Garza, World’s Heaviest Man, to Marry Girlfriend Claudia Solis on October 26, 2008! Manuel Uribe Garza , who was the world’s heaviest man recognised by the Guinness World Records for his once nearly 600kg weight, is to marry girlfriend Claudia Solis at hometown San Nicolas de los Garza in the city of Monterrey, North Mexico on October 26, 2008.

Manuel Uribe, who once reached 597 kg, appeared on the TV in January 2006 to plea the help from the world to reduce his weight. Ever since, under the assistance of doctors and nutritionists, and by following the Zone diet, he has lost more than 250kg, according to the wikipedia.
The morbid obseity brought Manuel Uribe the extreme inconvenieces. He has been bedridden since 2001 and had to be transported by the forklift.
He met Claudia Solís, 38, a widow and hairdresser, in 2004 and engaged since 2006. On his 43-year-old birthday June 11, 2008, Manuel Uribe said of Solis with the reporters who interviewd him, ”We are in love, and this year my birthday wish is to be able to stand when we get married; We are a couple; We have sex, and in the eyes of God we are already married.”

With less than one month left, Manuel Uribe’s dream to be a married man will finally come ture on October 26, 2008. We wish the (former) world’s fattest man have a very happy wedding with fiancee Claudia Solis.
