Lil Wayne Shot and Killed: Lil Wayne Dead Hoax! Platinum hip-hop artist Lil Wayne was hit by a hoax today saying he was shot and killed. The Lil Wayne dead rumor now spread like wild fires around the internet.

Lil Wayne performed on Boost Mobile’s Hot 97 “Summer Jam” 2008 at Giants Stadium in Rutherford, NY, on June 1, 2008. Lil Wayne was hit by hoax on November 2, 2008, saying he was shot and killed. (Image credit: Jerry Livingston/PR Photos)
Weird enough! This is a second hoax concerning black artists’ death right after the one said comedian Katt Williams dead in a plane crash in Atlanta one day earlier. “I see nothing about Lil Wayne getting killed or shot in the latest Lil Wayne Google News reports online here…,” wrote cpTimes.com. “Someone is just trying to have fun seeing how far they can spread a message online.” So sure there was no Lil Wayne Dead BBC News.
Back in August, Lil Wayne’s eight-year-old Reginae Carter was falsely said to have died in a crash.
Update: Lil Wayne death rumor originated from a fake report on Kineticnorth.com which fabricated a page looked exactly same as a BBC News webpage:
