Barack Obama Cabinet: Rahn Emanuel Chief of Staff! Senator Rahm Emanuel, the 4th ranking Democratic in the House, was said to have accepted the role of chief of staff for President-elect Barack Obama. Rahm Emanuel, 48, is a former aide to President Bill Clinton.
Update: Barack Obama has officially named Rahn Emanuel as White House chief of staff. Emanuel accepted the role. This is Obama’s first appointment.
