Actress Wanda Sykes Is A Gay Married In what was deemed as a shocking confession, actress/comedian Wanda Sykes (also Wanda Sykes-Hall), admitted she is a lesbian and has married her wife when speaking against the Californian same-sex marriage ban amendment Proposition 8 at a rally hosted by the LGBT Center of Southern Nevada in Las Vegas Saturday November 15, 2008.
“We took a huge leap forward [by electing Barack Obama as President of USA] and then got dragged about 12 steps back. Out community was attacked. If we had equal rights, we shouldn’t have to be standing out here demanding something that we automatically should have as citizens of this country.” Wanda Sykes said.
“I got pissed off. They pissed me off. I said, ‘You know what? Now I gotta get in your face.’ And that’s what we all have to do now. They pissed off the wrong group of people. They have galvanized a community… Instead of having gay marriage in California, we’re going to get it across the country.”
“When my wife and I leave California, I want to have my marriage also recognized in Nevada, in Arizona, all the way to New York. How can you stop people from loving each other? I am proud to be a woman. I’m proud to be a black woman and I’m proud to be gay.” Skykes further claimed before ending her speech, watch video below.

Wanda Sykes, 44, co-starred in The New Adventures of Old Christine, got married to her girlfriend on October 25, less than two weeks ahead of the passage of Proposition 8 on November 4, but did not say who her wife is. Sure, she is not Jane Fonda, the Academy-winning actress of whom Wanda Sykes once said they “hand out just like like Britney and Lindsay.” Anyone knows who is Wanda Sykes wife, don’t hesitate to drop us a line at comments.
