A Bit Thoughts On Zhang Ziyi Beach Photos Fuss

While beach photos of Zhang Ziyi and boyfriend Vivi Nevo on St. Barts island (photos) of Carribean did not make any waves from Western audience, they did have cause a fuss among Chinese viewers. Zhang Ziyi’s so-called sexy photo gate brought somewhat an embarrassment to Chinese authorities. Because on the day the government asked a list of websites (including Google, Baidu, Sina.com, and sohu.com etc.) to stop “disseminating” indecent and obsence pictures, Zhang’s compromising beach sunbathing pictures stormed vast numbers of Chinese sites, sparking a lot to tout Zhang as b*tch while others either supporting or simply taking a light heart at her. After reading quite some reports on Chinese mainstream media, to my very own point of view, Zhang Ziyi is gaining from this of very “unexpected” publicity stunt. Those reports portraited Zhang as a victim of invasion of privacy. They emphasized paparazzi of “trepassing” Vivi Nevo’s “private beach” and cited experts’ views which suggested Zhang to take legal action against photo agency that photographed her and those posted Zhang’s risque pics. Such circumstances would probably make Zhang accepted by more on the Chinese mainland, as a result, Zhang Ziyi’s ambadorship for those cosmetic products and charity organizations will not be affected.
