Miley Cyrus Racist? Sure no one, including Miley Cyrus herself, does not want her to be a racist. Unfortunately, the Hannah Montana teen sensation is accused of racism after a photo showing her supposedly mocking Asian American by slanting her eyes surfaced online.
In the picture (see above), Mylie Cyrus, sitting on the knees of boyfriend Justin Gaston, strentched her eyelids, amid a group of friends including a Asian-faced guy. The pic is ok for me, because I think Miley Cyrus was just a bit naughty and wanna have some ridiculous poses for a photoshoot.
But apparently, the OCA — an Asian-right group “dedicated to advancing the social, political and economic well-being of Asian Pacific Americans”, did not think so. They alleged Miley Cyrus of showing racism against Asian Americans and demand the 16-year-old’s apology. Read excerpts of OCA excutive director George Wu’ statement to TMZ:
”The photograph of Miley Cyrus and other individuals slanting their eyes currently circulating the Internet is offensive to the Asian Pacific American community and sets a terrible example for her many young fans. This image falls within a long and unfortunate history of people mocking and denigrating individuals of Asian descent.
Not only has Miley Cyrus and the other individuals in the photograph encouraged and legitimized the taunting and mocking of people of Asian descent, she has also insulted her many Asian Pacific American fans. The inclusion of an Asian Pacific American individual in the photo does not make it acceptable.
OCA hopes that Miley Cyrus will apologize to her fans and the APA community for this lapse in judgment and takes the opportunity to better understand why the gesture is offensive.”

I don’t have any problems with gay people but is just the way we express about thing’s that are too sweet or too girly, so I apologize in advance if I offended anyone.
First of all, I’m really sorry to see that there is still some people that think they’re superior just because they are white, if you people pay close attention, we all have the same amount of internal organs inside of us, besides if you all read a little bit, look for any science book that explains how humans adapt to the environment’s they live in, so wow there are black, Chinese and white people all around the globe, great discovery you got yourself a Nobel price!!!!
Second of all, I’m from Latin America, I have seen that superior attitude from people mostly from the U.S., and I’m making a special remark because I have European friends that think that the people from the United states of America behave like they are the coolest thing ever and they are just (I wont repeat what they told me but is not really good) not that cool and I don’t like to generalize since I now that just because there is a bunch of racist red neck’s that talk rubbish in the U.S, doesn’t mean that everybody is the same, things like this happens in all the country’s of the world, sadly the U.S. is always on the spot…
and third, I love Asian’s, their culture, their mysticism and their look’s and technology, so I don’t see a good reason why anyone should make fun of a very beautiful feature of their face, that make’s them special, different from all the races of the world, including mine, I love my culture and my country but I absolutely adore Asian people, what Miley Cyrus did is just lack of maturity and culture… besides she thinks she is a rock star, but in reality she is just a wannabe Punk Rocker, her music is just lame and gay so, what could we expect from someone like that?? think about it people.

i totally agree with you on everything except for the part about koreans having bigger eyes than other asians, which is just wrong (and you clearly have not been getting around much, no offense). All of my Chinese friends have big eyes and my Japanese friend’s eyes are freaking HUGE (in a pretty way of course).
By the way, if this happened in Canada she wouldn’t just have been sued, that’s small stuff. There’d be no party in the USA for her, there are just THAT many asians here…and I’m talking angry asians
Seriously, she should learn from the example of that Dior model who said some pretty negative stuff about Beijing. Chinese all over the world boycotted Dior products and declared they wouldn’t buy anymore Dior until she officially apologized. I’m not sure if she did, but I DO know that she got fired…which I must agree is pretty extreme. So yeahm I’m surprised Miley Cyrus is still in the business.
I would have thought it was just a joke if she didn’t sue the OCA back later. Also eventhough it is a joke if it hurt other people’s feelings it isn’t a joke. I’m Aisan but I didn’t get my feelings hurt until I knew that she sewed the OCA back, so Miley worsened her problem.
