Video! Here is a video of Federico Macheda injury-time winner goal for Manchester United on April 5, 2009. Federico Macheda was hailed as hero for MU’s home 3-2 win over Aston Villa. Federico Macheda’s game winning goal (Cristiano Ronaldo scored twice in the match) is good enough to keep Manchester United top of the English Premier League, ahead Liverpool FC.
Federico Macheda, an unknown 17-year-old Italian making his debut, hauled Manchester United back to the top of the Barclays Premier League table with a magnificent individual goal three minutes into stoppage time on an afternoon of high drama at Old Trafford.
The teenager, on as a second-half substitute, collected the ball on the edge of the Aston Villa penalty area before turning his man and curling a wonderful shot beyond Brad Friedel into the corner to cap a memorable United fightback.
Kudos to Macheda! Link
