Adam Dylan Leon (pictured above), a Canadian student pilot, was an alleged plane thieve who wanna end his life but didn’t have the courage to do it himself. Leon was a native of Turkey who changed his name from Yavuz Berke and became a Canadian citizen in 2008.

Adam Leon, 31, reportedly stole a Cessna 172 four-seat plane from Confederation College Flight School at Thunder Bay International Airport in Ontario Monday afternoon (April 6).

Adam Leon then flied the stolen plane to the aerospace of United States. US Airforce flied F16s to intercept Leon’s single-engine plane, but they couldn’t communicate with him because he ignored their nonverbal commands and was simply in an attempt to be shot down so that he could commit suicide.

Even though, F16s didn’t fire the airborne missile but the flares to deter the suicidal man. Finally, after six plus hours’ nearly 800 miles journey, Adam Leon safely landed the stolen plance on a rural road in Ellsinore, Missouri. He fled on the scene to a nearby convenience store where he was arrested by the Missouri troopers. Before this, Leon flied across two other sates including Wisconsin and Illinois. He now is being held without bond.
Federal investigators plan to interview him later to determine whether he may have violated immigration law, the U.S. Immigrations and Customs Enforcement agency said, according to CNN.
