Actress Sarah Michelle Gellar is pregnant. Sarah Michelle and husband Freddie James Prinze, Jr. are expecting their first child together after having been married for nearly seven years. A source confirmed to People that the couple were “very excited” about the pregnancy. Sarah Michelle Gellar’s baby will be due in the Autumn of 2009. The sex of the unborn child was not revealed.
Sarah Michelle Gellar [wiki], 31, and Freddie Prinze Jr., 33, first met on the scence of the 1997 teen horror film I Know What You Did Last Summer but they did not begin dating until 2000. After two years’ dating, the pair married in Mexico in September 2002. And ever since, Gellar and Prinze are always much in love. In 2007, Gellar legally changed her name to Sarah Michelle Prinze in honor of the couple’s fifth year of marriage.
Sarah Michelle Prinze is best known for her role as the character Buffy Summers in the television series Buffy the Vampire Slayer, for which she won in total six Teen Choice Awards, and the Saturn Award for Best Genre TV Actress. However, Gellar’s most successful starring role is in The Grudge, the American remake of Japanese horror film of the same name which opened with $39.1 million opening weekend and grossed over $110 million in the US alone.

Sarah Michelle Prinze’s other television and film credits include All My Children, The Grudge 2, Southland Tales, and The Air I Breathe among others. Prinze will appear in the coming HBO pilot The Wonderful Maladays, for which she is co-executive producing with creator Charles Randolph. The show is about dysfunctional New York siblings who lost their parents at a young age. Meanwhile, her husband Freddie James Prinze recently shot the pilot for No Heroics, an ABC comedy about off-duty superheroes, MTV noted.
