First Daughters Sasha and Malia Ann Obama’s hypoallergenic pooch, which was promised by father, President Obama during his victory speech in Chicago back in November, is finally coming to the White House. Our favorite site TMZ has uncovered much detailed information about the First Dog. Charlie (photo above), a black male Portuguese Water Dog, from a prominent Texas kennel, will arrive at his new home in Washington D.C. on Tuesday (April 14), according to the website. Charlie, which is 6 months old and will be renamed, was found under the help of Senator Ted Kennedy’s family. It is from the same lineage as the Kennedy dogs. And the Kennedy family will be presenting the new dog to the Obamas, TMZ said. According to New York Daily News, First Lady Michelle Obama has told People that Sasha and Malia have floated Frank and Moose as possible names for their forthcoming furry friend.
Update (April 12): Washington Post revealed the name of the First Puppy, Sasha and Malia have named it as Bo by quoting Washtington Post as the source. According to the newspaper, Bo had charmed the first family during a recent acquainted-session to Washington D.C. ” He sat when the girls sat, stood when the girls stood. He made no toilet errors and did not gnaw on the furniture.”
