Emma Watson to Study at Brown University

Update: Emma Watson confirmed to Paste Magazine she’s going to attend Brown University and study literature. Excerpts:
Paste: You are off to University in the autumn.
Watson: I am—to Brown, which is an Ivy League establishment in the U.S.A. I’ve got a place there to read literature.
Paste: Was that a deliberate career choice?
Watson: Oh yes, very definitely. I hope to do quite well with my A Levels [she’s being modest—she achieved straight A’s in her chosen subjects, English literature, geography and art, as well as seven A’s and three A* at GCSE level] and they’ve provisionally accepted me, so I’m off to study.
Paste: … some of your fellow students are going to recognize you.
Watson: That’s inevitable, I suppose, some of them must have seen the films over the years. But I do hope that it will be only a short time before I am known as “Emma Watson, the student from the U.K.” rather than “Emma Watson who starred in those Harry Potter films.”
Update: During an interview with Teen Vogue in June, Emma Watson tried to keep her choice of the university as a secret.
“I just want to keep it private [my college choice] for as long as I can. I probably sound like a paranoid nut, but I’m doing this because I want to be normal. I really want anonymity. I want to do it properly, like everyone else. As long as I don’t walk in, and see, like, Harry Potter posters everywhere, I’ll be fine.”
But her Harry Potter co-star Daniel Radcliffe spilled the beans to the Guardian in early July she would indeed go to Brown University
“[Emma's] very clever. Do you know her GCSE results? (bulges eyes) I was thrilled with mine – seven Bs, two As and an A*. I think Emma got three As and seven A*s – she’s incredibly academic, it’s frightening. Me and Rupert [Grint] to all intents and purposes dropped out of school. And she’s going to Brown.”

Harry Potter star Emma Watson reportedly has chosen to study at Brown University (website) in Rhode Island.
“She looked at universities over here (England) but fell in love with Brown (in US). She has a lot of friends there.” a source told to News of the World.
Brown University is a prestigious private university. It is one of member university of The Ivy League.
The newspaper said Emma Watson, the 19-year-old Paris-born British actress who played Hermione Granger in all Harry Potter flicks, will leave for USA this fall. It is said she’s going to study liberal studies.
Emma Watson’s upcoming movie Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince is to hit the theaters on July 19. She is currently filming scenes for the latest Potter film, The Deathly Hallows Part 1.

Wow! She got into Brown! I had no idea the girl was so smart. I mean, I suppose you could say crap about how it’s only because she’s a celebrity and all, but that’s a freaking Ivy League school. I can’t believe she’s headed to the US. So, does this mean she’s done with movies for a while?
