William Parente Family Murder Suicide

William Parente, 59, was an estate lawyer from Garden City, Long Island of New York. William Parente and his family members including wife Betty Parente (58), daughters Stephanie Parente (19) and Catherine Parente (11) was found dead at the Sheraton Baltimore North Hotel in Towson, Baltimore, Maryland Monday April 20. New York Times said Parentes family tragedy was apparently a murder-suicide. The police did not reveal any details about Parente’s death other than noted one of two parents was responsible for the demise of their family.

In a similar case also happened in Maryland, account manager Christopher Wood of Frederick Count shot his wife and three children to death and then killed himself. Christopher Wood struggled with depression and had $450,000 in debt, according to AP.

Update (Newsday.com): Details of William Parente Family Murder Suicide emerged. William Parente (picture) might have financial troubles. It was believed he killed his wife and two daughters before committing suicide.

Police said Betty Parente and her daughters were found on the king-sized bed.

William Parente was found dead in the bathroom.

Police said there was no sign of a struggle in the room.

Autopsies revealed Parente’s wife and daughters died of blunt force trauma and asphyxiation and Parente “took his own life by cutting himself,” Johnson said.
