The forgotten video of Susan Boyle, then 25 years old, singing the Jesus Christ Superstar musical hit I Don’t Know How To Love Himm, was unearthed by Daily Mirror. The grey footage was filmed at her parents Patrick and Bridget’s golden wedding party 23 years ago at the Welcome pub in her home town of Blackburn, West Lothian, Scotland.
Susan’s big brother Gerry told the newspaper, “It was a very emotional night. It goes quiet when Susan sings, it always does. She always has that effect.”
Since April 11’s Britain’s Got Talent Season 3 premiere, the internet is buzzing the Susan Boyle phenomenon. The 48-year-old previously unknown spinster instantly became an international star after her debut performance of I Dreamed A Dream from the musical Les Miserables on BGT. Dailymail said a video of Susan’s audition has become the most viewed YouTube clip of all time – with almost 200million hits in less than two weeks. The achievement is extremely remarkable because the previous most viewed videos on Youtube Canadian singer Avril Lavigne’s Girlfriend and comedian Judson Laipply’s Evolution of Dance respectively attracted nearly 120 millions clicks in years (as of this entry posted) .
