Ethan Zohn Cancer–Survivor: Africa winner Ethan Zohn, is battling a rare cancer, according to a weeklyy. The 35-year-old reality tv star was diagnosed with Stage-II Hodgkin’s disease at the end of April.
“This is the ultimate game of Survivor and there’s really only one outcome, and that’s to win. There’s no other option.” he revealed to People.
After doctors found a swollen lymph node under his left clavicle and a mass on the left side of his chest, Ethan Zohn was declared to have a rare cancer called CD20-positive Hodgkin’s lymphoma.
“My life flashed before my eyes.” Zohn said when upon hearing the diagnosis.
But we are confident Ethan Zohn is to win the battle against the cancer, because the survival rates of the patients who suffer Hodgkin’s lymphoma can reach to 90%. It is sure Zohn will not fall as a victim into one of the remaining 10%.
He has begun undertaken an aggressive chemotherapy since last Friday. As his characteristic curly hair may become the toll of the disease, he planned to shave them using a razor
“My hair is my identity,” Zohn told the magazine. “I’ll get a Mohawk or something fun that I’ve always wanted to do…I’ll roll with the punches as it comes to me. That’s how I work. I’m not getting voted out of this one.”
Zohn’s longtime girlfriend Jenna Morasca, Survivor: The Amazon winner, has vowed to be at her boyfriend side throughout his difficult time. “I will fight with every fabric of my being to get him through this,” the 27-year-old said.
