MacDella Cooper, 32, reportedly gave birth to daughter with Richard Parsons, Ella, in August, 2008. The newspaper said Parsons, 61, who was married with three children, would support the child and had set up a trust fund for her education.
Both MacDella and Parsons are currently reluctant to talk about the issue when contacted by the newspaper,
Parsons said, “This is a private matter, and I prefer not to talk about it at this time.” While Cooper also replied in a similar tone, she said “My private life is private. I’m sure you can draw your own conclusions.”
MacDella Cooper is a former Liberian refugee. She escaped Liberia at 13 when Charles Taylor inflicted the country with a brutal civil war. She was brought to Newark, New Jersey by an American woman. She attended high school in Newark and later entered the university. She worked her way up the New York City social ladder interning for the New York Film Festival and landing her first modeling job at Ralph Lauren. In 2004, MacDella Cooper, founded MacDella Cooper Foundation, which helps orphans and abandoned children in her native country Liberia.
MacDella Cooper Foundation has since appreciated the generosity by many celebs, New York politicians and wealthy socialiates. It was believed Richard Parsons came close to MacDella Cooper due to the foundation. He made donations and was a keynote speaker at a gala of her humanitarian organization in 2007.
