Despite many may consider him as a genius, Moshe Kai Cavallin himself did not think so.

“I don’t consider myself a genius because there are 6.5 billion people in this world and each one is smart in his or her own way.” Cavalin said. “I consider myself a regular kid who works hard and does his best.”

Moshe Kai Cavalin is stands 4ft 7in tall. He was born to Taiwanese mother Shu Chen Chien and Israeli father Yosef Cavalin on Valentine’s Day in 1998. As 1998 is the Tiger year of Chiese zodiac, Cavalin was named Kai Hsiao Hu (Hsiao Hu means Obedient Tiger).

At 6, Cavalin was rejected by a private elementary school because he “knew more than the teacher.”

“They didn’t want to accept me because I knew more than the teacher there and they said I looked too bored.” the 11-year-old child prodigy said.

After two years’ home-schooling, Cavalin’s parents enrolled him to the East Los Angeles Community College when he was 8 in 2006. Cavalin excelled at his subjects and had since tutored his 19- and 20-year-old classmates in math and science.

On Friday, Cavalin graduated with an average CGPA of 4.0 from his college.  Actually, he finished all the requirements for the degree in January 2009 at the age of 10 but have to wait until June to receive the Associate of Arts (A.A.) degree Summa Cum Laude when he is 11.

According to the biography on his own website moshekai.com,  Cavallin is the youngest student in the USA with an A.A. Degree. He is the second youngest American after Michael Kearney [wikipedia] to ever graduate college. When Kearney  completed the University of South Alabama in 1995 with an anthropology degree, he was only 10 years old.

Moshe Kai’s will choose among one of three world top universities, MIT, University of California at Berkeley or Stanford University to study the astrophysics. His future research interests include “wormholes” and Einstein’s theory of relativity.

“Just like black holes, they suck in particulate objects, and also like black holes, they also travel at escape velocity, which is, the speed to get out of there is faster than the speed of light,” Cavalin said. “I’d like to prove that wormholes are really there and prove all the theories are correct.”

Wormholes is a hypothetical scientific phenomenon connected to Albert Einstein’s theory of relativity. It has been theorized that if such holes do exist in space, they could — in tandem with black holes — allow for the kind of space-age time travel seen in science fiction.

Other than his academic academic excellencies, Moshe Kai Cavalin also does very good at martial arts. The preteen won more than 2 dozens of martial arts championships. To become a scientist is not just his goal, Cavalin “wants to be a movie actor and compete in the 2016 Olympics in martial arts.”

Now taking a break of 6 months to one year from continuing his four-year university study, Cavallin plans to focus himself on martial arts, write a book on how to succeed in school, and take up scuba diving.

Moshe Kai Cavallin loves to watch  Chinese Martial Arts Movies specially starred by Jet Li, Bruce Lee, Toni Jaa, and Jackie Chan, but he doesn’t like to play the video game “because it’s not helping humanity in any way”. .
