Jamie Czerniawski, former Miss Teen New Jersey, was arrested over allegedly stabbing husband Charles Czerniawski using a kitchen knife. Jamie Czerniawski, 30, was charged with aggravated assault and freed on a $75,000 bail.
Jamie and Charles, 34, appeared in the ABC reality show Wife Swap in 2006. She was traded places with a tattooed Arizona mother who is a freak show performer.
A fight broke out between Jamie and Charles Czerniawski at their Monmouth County home on May 26, 2009 after Charles become jealous when she received a phone call from a male friend. According to Jamie, she used the knife to self-defend. The following excerpts from Greenwich Diva described what happened on the Memorial Weekend.
“I was so scared I just closed my eyes and struck him,” the mother of three said. “If I didn’t do it, I would have been dead.”
According to reports, the cheerleading coach and former Miss Teen New Jersey stabbed her thirty-four year old husband on May 26, causing him serious injuries.
The blonde stunner said after returning home from the shore, a mutual male friend called her and a jealous Charles grabbed her wrist and said, “If I can’t have you, no one can.”
She said he pinned her against the kitchen island but she was able to break free and grab a knife. She said Charles then grabbed her again and pinned her shoulders to the floor with his knees, and she struck him with the knife.
Charles was rushed to the hospital where he spent two days in intensive care and lost four pints of blood. He said he still hasn’t been able to use his right arm.
Charles Czerniawsk denied Jamie’s stabbing was in self-defense. He insisted it’s an assault and has hired a lawyer.
