Gary Papa, ABC-affliate WPVI’s sportscaster, died Friday at the hospital of University of Pennsylvania after battling the prostate cancer for 5+ years. Gary Papa, 54, has worked for WPVI for more than 25 years. He is survived by wife Kathleen, sons Tucker and Nathaniel. R.I.P!

Alaska’s first elected lieutenant governor Henry Aristide “Red” Boucher passed away today June 19. H.A. “Red” Boucher was 88 years young. Besides being a lieutenant governor, Boucher was also state lawmaker, Fairbanks mayor, Alaska baseball legend and World War II veteran. Excerpts from his obituary written by his family.

Henry Aristide “Red” Boucher, fondly known by many as just “Red,” at the age of 88, left this world behind to be with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ on Friday, June 19, 2009. His favorite Bible verse was Isaiah 40:31 But they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run and not be weary, and they shall walk and not faint. All who knew Red observed that he lived this verse during his life on Earth.

Bernie Kosar, former Cleveland Brown quarterback, filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection in Florida. Kosar listed debts of about $50 millioon and assets of less than $10 million in the bankruptcy reorganization documents.
