Wang Xiao Ya, a popular host on China’s CCTV, has got married again, according to an insider. And because the status of the bridegroom, the news Xiao Ya was re-marrying was kept extremely low-key. Her husband is rumored to be Chen Zhang Liang, a scientist-turned Vice-governor of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region.

Her close friends like Mi Jia Shan and Li Jia Ming did not answer the phone calls when journalists tried to contact them for the confirmation.

Wang Xiao Ya, 41, is the host of CCTV’s Happy Game. The seven marriage between Xiao Ya and first husband Lv Cheng Gong was ended in 2001 when a divorce was officiated after she moved from Sichuan to Beijing for an intern jon at CCTV. It was said they had a son together, who is now attending the junior high school.

Chen Zhang Liang, 48, is a Ph.D educated in Washington University in St. Louis. Zhang Liang hit the national headlines at the age of 29 in 1989 when he became the youngest Professor in China, two years after he returned from USA and worked in Peking University.

Chen went on to be the vice president of Peking University in 1995, and president of China Agricultural University in 2002. In 2007, Chen turned to be a politician—appointed as vice-governor of Guangxi. He remained unmarried.

Despite of being a public figure, Wang always lives a very private life. So may Chen Zhang Liang does. It’s impossible for both of them to confirm their marriage. It was reported Chen became extremely angry when the gossip years ago broke out the two were dating.
