Maria Carmen del Bousada, who became a mother of twins for the first time three years ago, has passed away. It is believed Maria Carmen del Bousadathe, 69, died of breast cancer, orphaning two of her sons.
Maria Bousada hit the international headlines in 2006 for becoming the world’s oldest mom at the time when she gave birth to twins Cristian and Pau. Miss Bousada conceived them via a £30,000 in vitro fertility treatment after she didn’t tell the truth about her health (she was then suffering from a tumour) lied her age to a Los Angeles clinic.
However, Maria Bousada’s desire to be a mom was not welcome in Spain where people including her brother Manuel Bousada heavily criticised her
“My mother would turn in her grave if she knew what my sister has done. She would ask: ‘How are you going to bring up two boys at your age?” said Mr. Manuel Bousada de Lara, 73.
Now the dream of Maria Carmen del Bousada who wanted to see her sons live into adulthood will never come true. The two poor twins will be looked after their cousin in 30s and 40s.
