At about 4:25pm on October 7, a fire suddenly broke out from the top floors of the topped, 30+-story Global International building which is under the decoration at Jiashe South Road in Zhuzhou, Hunan Province . A crane collapsed [at 7:15pm, on June 24, 2009] and now a fire happened again, this Global International building had become famous! Firefighters rushed to the scene to contain the fire but the high-pressure stream of water couldn’t reach the raging inferno. The scaling ladders was called in but the fire was too strong and very difficult to control. The building was burned up, the report said the fire was put out… I truly do not want such accidents to happen again, when will the potential security hazard be over? ? ?
According to People Daily, the fire was extinguished within half an hour but the cause was still under investigation.
