Residual oil extracted from waste foods is not even hygiene to feed pigs, but some unscrupulous people are producing and selling the swill oil which is by no means safe for human consumption to earn the sin money in Wuhan! From Netease
This March, the internet exposed the rampant waste food residual oil production and sales in Wuhan (“Brave”unscrupulous boss affirms: waste food residual oil are safe to eat), sparking the hot debates and condemnation from the country’s netizens. The problems also quickly attracted the attention of the Wuhan municipal government departments, and the relevant departments dispatched contingents of masses and worked overtime to carry out a month-long special rectification actions and confiscated plenty of swill oil (See on-spot scenes of crashing waste food oil production sites).
However, when the people are feeling a bit relieved, the illegal waste foods oil production has made a came-back and inundated Wuhan. Having received tips-off from the informers, Wang Haofeng Focus made some secret investigation in Wuhan from the end of September to early October and witnessed a lot of underground spots where the swill oil were again extracted from waste foods. In a street area administrated by Hongshan District, this kind of swill oil production houses were too many to be counted. With no any procedures required, the oil would be sold to those who offered a higher price.
