Oops, HP Laptop webcam can’t recognize the black people’s face, and thus is being jokingly called “racist.” “Black Desi” and “White Wanda” are two colleagues.
The built-in webcam of a HP laptop in their office couldn’t “see” Black Desi’s face, no matter how he acted in front of the cam, its zoom just be null. But this was not true for White Wanda, when she moved head before the device, it simply followed her face around as she was in action.
The two recorded a tape for their hilarious moments using this problematic webcam and uploaded it onto the Youtube. The video clip titled HP computers are racist has attracted nearly 130 million views as of the time this entry was written up since it was live on December 10.
HP told to BBC they were informed of the situation, acknowledging it’s “a potential issue with the facial-tracking software included on some of its systems, which appears to occur when insufficient foreground lighting is available.”
