Wang Wei, a 4-year-old boy, from Yilong County of China’s Sichuan Province, helps his mom Li Xiaorong sweep the street.
When he was two years old, Wang Wei’s father eloped with a lover and abandoned the family, leaving the little toddler and his brother with their mom Li Xiaorong.
The poverty-stricken trio rented a 40 square meters house in their Rixing town, living on a mean salary mom Li makes from cleaning the street.
An unnamed internet user recently returned to the hometown for his younger brother’s wedding during Chinese New Year, and he noticed a small boy skillfully sweeping the street.
Through consulting with the locals, he got to know the tot is called Wang Wei and he is helping his mother to do the cleaning work. So he snapped a few pictures of this pre-schooler then posted them to the internet with captions narrated.
The story moved many fellow internet users as well as grabbed the attention of the local media which later called on the pubic to make donations for Wang Wei’s family.
