Meet He Xuehao (何雪豪), an 8-year-old prodigy who has recently been enrolled by Military Economics Academy of China’s People’s Liberation Army (in Wuhan, China).

But can you believe, an eight-year-old boy, who does not need any instrument, can give accurate answers to up to 50 this kind of calculations, within slightly over 2 minutes? He does not have extraordinary powers, but a secret weapon – mental arithmetic. Right after the Chinese New Year, this prodigy, from Kaifei (of Henan Province), was enrolled by China’s People’s Liberation Army’s Military Economics Academy, being a young member of the special force task.

Apparently, there are few people who are noding or applauding Xuehao’s enrollment despite he won himself so many medals for his talents.
“It’s not worthy to train this kind of prodigy. What the kids should be trained are the abilities of logic analysis and imagination, which are the base for creativity,” one commented.
