The fashion industry’s biggest annual event Costume Institute Gala was held at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City on May 2, 2011.
This year’s gala theme was Alexander McQueen: Savage Beauty, apparently in honor of late British designer Alexander McQueen, whose company recently designed the wedding dress of Kate Middleton, Duchess of Cambridge, for her marriage to Prince William, Duke of Cambridge.
Many Hollywood starlets, celebrities, and other guests stepped out while donning stunning gowns to show their support on Monday night.
