Mindy McCready Jailed For Probation Violation! Mindy McCready, the troubled country singer who was said to have affairs with Clemens Rogers, has begun serving a 60-day sentence for a probation violation in Williamson County Jail, Tennessee. The 32-year-old was was arrested for violating her probation for prescription drug fraud in June. This is one more count for her already disgraceful bio:

Mindy has since had several run-ins with the law and a history of personal problems. McCready appeared on “The Oprah Winfrey Show” and spoke of her battle with domestic abuse, depression, and drug abuse. She has been arrested several times, the first in August of 2004 when Mindy used a fake prescription to buy the painkiller OxyContin. In July 2005, McCready was charged in Arizona with “identity theft, attempted fraudulent scheme and artifices, unlawful imprisonment, hindering prosecution and unlawful use of transportation.” In August 2005, she was arrested for violating probation and the next month confirmed a drug overdose was a suicide attempt. Her troubles continued in 2007 when she was charged with battery and resisting arrest. McCready has also had several altercations with the father of her baby, Billy McKnight. He was arrested for allegedly breaking into her house, beating her and choking her. McKnight was charged with attempted murder and aggravated burglary.

Mindy McCready’s statement to People says she “continue to work on my recovery and to regain custody of my precious son, Zander.” We are doubting she can make it.

China Space Walk Video above shows Taikonaut Zhai Zhi-gang Performed China’s First Space Walk while beining attached to Shenzhou VII on September 27! Being an overseas Chinese myself, I am extremely proud of my motherland’s achievements of its space projects — the only third country who can sent her own astronauts not using Russia or USA-made vechiles into the space and now have an EVA! Congrats!

Video: Yves Rossy, Swiss Jet-Man, flied solo over English Channel on homemade wing! The tape above live from MSNBC TodayShow shows the Switzerland daredevil Yves Rossy in heat-resistant suit crossed the English Channel by being strapped to a homemade jet-propelled wing earlier today. The 22-mile trip from Calais in France to Dove in England called as a fabulous stunt by someone cost Rossy about 10 minutes. Excerpts from MSNBC:

Yves Rossy leapt from a plane at more than 8,800 feet . Rossy passed over a thin strip of land in front of South Foreland lighthouse [in Dove], looped over onlookers and opened his parachute, his wings still strapped to his back. [...]

The trip across the Channel is meant to trace the route of French aviator Louis Bleriot, the first person to cross in an airplane 99 years ago. [...]

The carbon composite-wing weighs about 121 pounds when loaded with fuel, and carried four kerosene-burning jet turbines that kept him aloft. The wing had no steering devices — Rossy moved his body to control its movements.

He wore a heat-resistant suit similar to that worn by firefighters and racing drivers to protect him from the heat of the turbines. The cooling effect of the wind and high altitude also prevented him from getting too hot.

Mark Dale, the senior technical officer for the British Hang Gliding and Paragliding Association, described Rossy’s flight as a “fabulous stunt.”

Guys, don’t try flying on kerosene-powered turbines wings at your home.
