Muslim Women Burka Ban

Burka Ban

A Moroccan Muslim man was refused to be granted for a French citizenship simply because he required his wife covered in the full-body veils like Burka. From AP via Yahoo

PARIS – French authorities have denied citizenship to a man who forced his French wife to wear a face-covering veil, saying he had rejected national values of secularism and gender equality.

….the man’s application was rejected because officials had determined that he had deprived his wife of the freedom to go about with her face uncovered.

What the French government decided probably was a bit stringent for that guy. Though I respect the Islam religion, its culture and customs, personally, I still feel very sorry for those Muslim women who are required to be covered under the unsightful hideous veils.

Previously, Gisele Bundchen was speculated that she’d given birth to son Benjamin (who was named a few days later) in a hospital. Such rumors were not dismissed until late January when Bundchen revealed during an interview with Brazilian magazine that she actually delivered the baby at the bathtub at her and Brady’s Beacon Hill penthouse in Boston.

Nowadays she again spoke about her water birth experience, saying it wasn’t “even a bit” painful.

“[Giving birth] wasn’t painful, not even a little bit,” the 29-year-old said in an interview with a Brazilian TV show.

“The whole time, my head was so focused – every contraction, the baby is closer, the baby is closer. So, it wasn’t like, ‘Oh, what pain.’ It was, ‘With every contraction, he is getting closer to me.’ ”

Nominees for those categories that Avatar was nominated in are to face a tough task to compete with the flick. But no actor/actress from Avatar were nominated in the second and third most import categories– Best Leading Actor and Best Leading Actress, in these two cases, there are the big possibilities that Jeff Bridges (Crazy Heart) and Sandra Bullock (The Blind Side) can take a golden statute back home.

Jeff Bridges, 60, is believed one of the best actors never to win an Academy Award, while Sandra Bullock has recently won a Golden Globe for her roleas a foster mother of a homeless teen in The Blind Side.
