Kris Allen American Idol 2009 Winner American Idol Season 8 Finale

Underdog Kris Allen beating front-runner Adam Lambert won 2009’s American Idol 8 singing competition on May 19.

Arkansas student Kris Allen won the eighth season of “American Idol” on Wednesday, dealing an unexpected defeat to singing rival Adam Lambert on the most popular U.S. television show. Allen, 23, who won over audiences with his all-American good looks and by putting his personal spin on popular tunes, appeared shocked as Lambert, a 27-year-old musical theater actor, embraced him after host Ryan Seacrest’s announcement.

Based on May 18 American Idol Season 8 finale performances, apparently, Adam Lambert was the winner of this hit FOX reality show by four judges, but don’t know if many viewers will vote for him. We bet Adam Lambert be crowned as American Idol on May 19 American Idol 8 results show. In the same time, we also wish Kris Allen the best luck!

Video! Watch here Kris Allen’s No Boundaries American Idol Season 8 Finale May 18 Performance Video. No Boundaries was co-penned by Kara DioGuardi, Cathy Dennis and Mitch Allan. If Kris Allen still could compete with Adam Lambert during the first two rounds, he was totally beat by the latter for this No Boundaries performance. At the end of Adam’s No Boundaries performance, he was highly praised by the four judges. In contrast, they could not directly say byebye but give some ecouraging/diplomatic words when Kris completed singing the song.

Randy: You are an amazing competitor…Good Luck!
Kara: I don’t want you to be judged on that song. I hope people vote on the season.
Paula: I wish you the best of luck
Simon: You have thoroughly deserved to be standing on the stage tonight.
