Don’t be fooled by the title! When running across the forwarded message 最年轻的世界小姐，养眼！！！(literally The Youngest Miss World, Eyes Nuturing) at the Chinese social networking site Kaixin001.com, I was mesmerizing who is the youngest Miss World ever? Unfortunately, that Chinese title was exaggerated! The so-called youngest Miss World turned out to be Gao Lisha, a regional winner of Miss World China 2008 from Shenzhen, Guangdong Province. At the time, she was only 16 years old. So some boasted she is the “youngest” Miss World. Not like many beauty pageants contestants who pursue a modelling career, it seems Gao Lisha is aspiring to be a musician. She is now studying at the prestigious music institution–Affiliated Middle School of Central Conservatory of Music–in China. (more…)

Yu Sheng, Miss China 2009

Yu Sheng (余声), who is from Anhui Province, won the title of Miss World China 2009 on October 6, with Zhan Yang and Yu Weiwei becoming the second and third runner-up respectively. The reigning Miss World Ksenia Sukhinova of Russia crowned Miss Yu Sheng in the Chinese bustling city Shenzhen, Guangdong yesterday. Yu Sheng will represent China to compete at the 59th Miss World beauty pageants to be held on December 12, 2009 at the Sandton Convention Center, Johannesburg, South Africa. Miss Yu, a graduate of Linguitics Communication Department of Communication University of China’ Nanjing, aspires to be an elegant anchorwoman. (more…)

Wang Jingyao Miss China Universe 2009

Wang Jingyao (王静瑶), 19, won the coveted title of Miss China Universe 2009 in June. Wang Jingyao is now representing China to compete with beauties from 84 countries for the title of Miss Universe 2009, which will be held in Nassau Island of the central American country Bahamas on August 23. Wang Jingyao was born in Jinan, the capital city of Shangdong Province on September 27, 1990. She stands 182cm tall and has a fabulous measurement of Bust-Waist-Hips in 81-61-90 cm. Her shoulder width is of 41cm. She is a student of Zhejiang University of Media & Communications. She majors in French-Chinese Bilingual announcing and anchoring. (more…)

Mou Guanhong (牟冠红 in Chinese), is the newly-crowned winner of 2008 China Underwear Model Contest. The lingerie competion was held at the Broadcasting Hall of Guangxi Satellite TV Station in Nanning,  South China’s Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, December 28, 2008.

Mou Guanhong was born on September 11, 1990. She stands 175 cm and weighs at 53 kg. Thinking herself as an optimistic and confident girl, Miss Guanhong is a high school student from Dalian, Liaoning Province. (more…)
