Bernard Madoff Sentenced To 150 Years In Jail for $65 Billion Fraud

Disgraced former financer and NASDAQ Chairman Bernard Madoff will spend his remaining life in prison. Bernie Madoff has been sentenced today to 150 years in jail by fedral judge Denny Chin, of the United States District Court for the Southern District of New York. Madoff, 72, was convicted in March for the $65 Billion fraud from his 20 years plus long Ponzi scheme that devastated thousands of investors. He will serve his jail term at the Metropolitan Correctional Center in New York. Bernard Madoff‘s inmate number is #61727-054. Source

Bernard Madoff, also Bernie Madoff, the man orchastrated unprecedented $65 billion Ponzi scheme scam in Wall Street, has pled guilty to eleven charges, including securities fraud, wire fraud, mail fraud, money laundering and making a false filing to the SEC. Bernard Madoff, former chairman of the NASDAQ stock exchange, was cancelled his bail and directly ordered to jail by a U.S. District Judge Denny Chin today March 12. His sentence was scheduled on June 16. He could face a maximum term of 150 years in prison! Source: Bloomberg
