Sunday might be a safety wake-up call day for NASCAR racing at Talladega Speedway. Numerous spectacular crashes happened on the day. Carl Edwards’ crash during the last lap sent the wreckage flying into the sky and subsequently injured seven spectators, two of them airlifted to the hospital, after his No. 99 Ford spun into the safety fence past the tri-oval. Edwards himself emerged out in the great shape from his car wreck.
