OK! Magazine Michael Jackson Cover Photo

It’s good for OK! Magazine to have a a tribute issue for Pop of King Michael Jackson! But it’s not so appropriate for the mag to use a picture of dying (or already dead) Michael Jackson as its cover photo. Wasn’t the late pop icon’s privacy was violated?
It seems OK doesn’t think so!
“It’s a photo that captures the surprise and the upset and the moment of this breaking news story,” Sarah Ivens, the mag’s editorial director. “I hope the cover will provoke readers. It celebrated the man, but it also does expose that he was an eccentric character who lived a very controversial life.”
It was reported the mag’s parent company Northern & Shell shelled out as much as US$500,000 for exclusive magazine rights to the Michael Jackson death photo in the U.S. and U.K.
