Since September 27, 2009, massive death of fish happened in the Huangxi section of Ting River(汀江) in Shanghang County, Longyan Prefecture of Fujian Province [China] . Millions of kilograms of more than half of various species of freshwater fish cultured by about 60 fish farmers suddenly died, causing a tremendous financial loss worth over tens of millions of Yuan. The cause for fish mass death may be because the river was polluted, or due to the eutrophication resulting from the extreme high density fish farming…No matter whichever reason is, the accidents have caused not only the disastrous loss to the fish farmers, but also the immeasurable damage to the local ecology. Ting River is known as the Hokka Mother River. The national key water storage project Mianhuatan Reservoir located at its downstream area. Ting River is the important water source for the cities/areas like Yongding of Longyan, Meizhou City and Dapu County of Guangdong Province. If the water is polluted, it will pose a great threat to the security of the drinking water of the people who live at the lower river area. Alexis Cohen Death Is A Homicide

Alexis Cohen, a two-time American Idol contestant, died of what was believed as a hit-and-run Saturday morning. 25-year-old Alexis Cohen was found dead at the roadside of Seaside Heights, New Jersey at  4:00am, July 25.

Two passers-by made the 911 call after they noticed Cohen lying motionless at the edge of Dupont Avenue near Bay Boulevard, Ocean County. Paramedics who arrived later transported her to Community Medical Center, where she was pronounced dead at 6:30 a.m.

An autopsy performed on Alexis Cohen concluded that she had chest and abdominal injuries and a head injury which caused by collision with a vehicle.

American Idol Audition Notoriety

Many unsuccessful American Idol contestants were soon forgotten by the audience after they failed to advance to the second round of FOX reality show. Apparently Alexis Cohen was not one of them. Because the Allentown, Pennsylvania, woman gained the notoriety from both of her American Idol auditions.

In August, 2007, Alexis Cohen had auditioned on American Idol 7 with Jefferson Airplane’s 1967 hit song Somebody To Love. She failed to impress three judges. After being pissed off by Simon Cowell who called her performance “possessed” and “channeling the voices”, and even compared her her to Willem Dafoe’s character Green Goblin in Spider-Man, Alexis Cohen went to a surprising tirade which shocked a lot. About Alexis Cohen’s second trial on American Idol, Gawker.com described, “She returned the next year and acted nice and sweet, saying she had turned over a new leaf, until she was rejected and flipped off the judges once again.”

Aexis Cohen was called “Glitter girl” by fans for her makeup.

R.I.P, Cohen!

The double deaths of Sahel Kazemi and Steve Mcnair in Nashville on the Independence Day was an apparent murder suicide case, said the Tennessean.

Sahel Kazemi died from a single gunshot wound in her head, while Steve McNair was found shot multiple times (also with one head wound ). A handgun was spotted near Kazemi ’s body. So, it’s clear that Sahel Kazemi might have shot Mcnair then turned the gun to herself, but the official results have to be confirmed by the police.

Earlier reports said that the crime scene where Sahel Kazemi and Steve Mcnair were found dead was Kazemi’s condominium. It was not true. The condo at 2nd South & Lea Avenue in Nashville was rented by Mcnair. Kazemi’s  house was at the Cherry Creek apartment complex on the city’s Hermitage Avenue. Steve reportedly frequently visited her there.

NYT quote the Nashville police as saying Steve McNair had multiple gunshot wounds, including one to the head, while Kazemi was found with a single gunshot wound to the head.

Sahel Kazemi was believed to be the girlfriend of Steve Mcnair. She was 20 years old. Mcnair and Sahel co-owned a 2007 black Cadillac Escalade. Two days before their demise, the pair was busted for driving under influence. At the time, the driver of Cadillac Escalade was Sahel Kazemi.

Words surfaced on some blogs said she was a part-time call girl/escort.

Mcnair was a married father with four sons. His wife is Mechelle Cartwright (Mechelle Mcnair).
