Mark Sanford mistress photo is a hot search item on Google. The reason is obvious, because most, if not all, who know about Mark Sanford extramarital affairs with Argentina woman Maria, are curious to how South Carolina Governor’s girlfriend looks like. But it might not be so easy to find Maria’s pictures, like those of Cynthia Hampton, mistress of Nevada GOP Sen. John Ensign. Cynthia’s romance with Ensign has already been exposed a bit over one week, there is still no way to spot a picture of her. Those circulated so-called Cynthia (Cindy) Hampton’s pictures belong to two women who shared the same name with John Ensign’s girlfriend.

While we don’t know where Mark Sanford mistress photo is, we do know where she stays. Maria lives in a 14-story apartment on Republica de la India in Buenos Aires’s Palermo neighborhood,  a street across Carlos Thays Botanical Gardens in the capital of Argentina. See a photo here.

Update: Hours after we posted this entry, Inside Edition uncovered Cindy Hampton’s picture, beating any other media to become the first to publish such photo.

Update 2: Maria’s full name was revealed by the Argentine media as Maria Belen Chapur. Alleged Maria Chapur pictures were uncovered from her social networking.

South Carolina Gov. Mark Sanford admitted he was unfaithful to wife Jenny Sanford by having an affair with his Argentina mistress. Sanford said he had emails contact with his girlfriend, who so far is only known was identified as Maria Belen Chapur.

The State, the newspaper which caught Mark Sanford at the Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport when he came back to US after a week-long secret trip to Buenos Aries, said they obtained emails between the 49-year-old S.C. Gov. and Maria back in December and now published them on its website without disclosing Sanford mistress’s full name, address and e-mail address etc. We are wondering why the State revealed the emails contents only after Mark Sanford confessed his affairs.

The following are two excerpts of lover letters between Mark Sanford and his mistress.

Sanford to Maria:

Lastly I also suspect I feel a little vulnerable because this is ground I have never certainly never covered before – so if you have pearls of wisdom on how we figure all this out please let me know… In the meantime please sleep soundly knowing that despite the best efforts of my head my heart cries out for you, your voice, your body, the touch of your lips, the touch of your finger tips and an even deeper connection to your soul.”

Maria to Sanford:

You are my love … something hard to believe even for myself as it’s also a kind of impossible love, not only because of distance but situation. Sometimes you don’t choose things, they just happen… I can’t redirect my feelings and I am very happy with mine towards you.”

How romantic! Poor Jenny Sanford, who only knew his husband’s affair five months ago, one month later than The State knew the story.

Update: The Argentina media revealed Maria’s full name. She is called Maria Belen Chapur. Her alleged photos were spread like wild fires after being uncovered from Maria’s online social networking.

Jenny Sanford, First Lady of South Carolina and wife of Gov. Mark Sanford, was cheated by her husband who had an affair with a woman residing in Argentina (update: she was revealed as Maria Belen Chapur, photos here). When Jenny realized Mark’s infidelities nearly half a year ago, she sought marriage counseling and decided not to go public for his affairs with the Argentina woman for the sake of his reputation. Shortly after Mark Sanford confessed in a press conference (watch video) today he had secretly flied to Buenos Aires to meet up his mistress during a seven-day trip, Jenny revealed in a statement saying she had asked him to leave their home for a trial separation two weeks ago.

I believe wholeheartedly in the sanctity, dignity and importance of the institution of marriage. I believe that has been consistently reflected in my actions. When I found out about my husband’s infidelity I worked immediately to first seek reconciliation through forgiveness, and then to work diligently to repair our marriage. We reached a point where I felt it was important to look my sons in the eyes and maintain my dignity, self-respect, and my basic sense of right and wrong. I therefore asked my husband to leave two weeks ago.

This trial separation was agreed to with the goal of ultimately strengthening our marriage. During this short separation it was agreed that Mark would not contact us. I kept this separation quiet out of respect of his public office and reputation, and in hopes of keeping our children from just this type of public exposure. Update: Mark Sanford’s mistress is called Maria, their love letters (emails) were exposed.

In this 3′33” long video, South Carolina Gov. Mark Sanford admitted he had flied to Argentina to meet a “dear, dear friend” with whom he had an affair of a bit over one year. He apologized and announced to resign as head of the Republican Governors Association. A lot believe Mark Sanford should quit his governorship too.
