Video! Watch here Kris Allen’s No Boundaries American Idol Season 8 Finale May 18 Performance Video. No Boundaries was co-penned by Kara DioGuardi, Cathy Dennis and Mitch Allan. If Kris Allen still could compete with Adam Lambert during the first two rounds, he was totally beat by the latter for this No Boundaries performance. At the end of Adam’s No Boundaries performance, he was highly praised by the four judges. In contrast, they could not directly say byebye but give some ecouraging/diplomatic words when Kris completed singing the song.

Judges’ words:

Randy: You are an amazing competitor…Good Luck!
Kara: I don’t want you to be judged on that song. I hope people vote on the season.
Paula: I wish you the best of luck
Simon: You have thoroughly deserved to be standing on the stage tonight.

Simon Fuller’s choice song for Kris Allen on May 18’s American Idol Season 8 Finale is What’s Going On originally by Marvin Gaye. Kris Allen What’s Goin’ On video will be posted once it is available online. Here is a video of Marvin Gaye singing What’s Goin’ On on a concert in Amsterdam, 1976, for your comparison with Kris’s rendition later today.

Update: Kris Allen–-What’s Goin’ On-–American Idol Season 8 Finale May 18 Performance Video

Judges’ words:
Randy: We got a real live competition going here, but it’s a little bit light for this big ole room.
Kara: You haven’t waivered…make people think, feel, change.
Paula: You tore that song up and made Marvin Gaye proud.
Simon: I love the song, but it was like 3 friends in a bedroom strumming along to Marvin Gaye…Too laid back for this competition.

Today May 18 is American Idol Season 8 Finale day. Adam Lambert and Kris Allen will sing three songs each tonight. It hasn’t been known so far what the song American Idol creator Simmon Fuller will choose respectively for Adam and Kris. The singer’s other two songs have revealed on some blogs. Adam Lambert and Kris Allen both will sing judge Kara DioGuardi’s No Boundaries (of course, it will be in different versions). Adam’s personal choice is Mad World, while Kris’s is Ain’t No Sunshine. Though Adam Lambert is always the front runner for the coveted American Idol 8 title, we think, Kris Allen still can follow in the footsteps of David Cook who unexpectedly beat David Arquette on American Idol 7.
