Governor Janet Napolitano is Arizona’s third female governor, and the first woman to win re-election. She was originally elected in 2002 and re-elected in 2006. Napoitno was the first Democratic Governor to back Barack Obama not Hillary Clinton for President as early as in 2008 Janurary during the two’s Democratic primaries.
