Elizabeth Adeney, 66, Is Britain’s Oldest Mother Soon To Give Birth

Elizabeth Adeney, 66, is soon to be Britain’s oldest mother to give birth. The previous oldest woman in UK to give birth is Dr Patricia Rashbrook, a psychiatrist whose son was born in 2006 when she was 62 years old.

Elizabeth Adeney, a wealthy businesswoman from Sulfok, now is eight months pregnant. She is expected to have her first child within 4-6 weeks via Caesarean section. Unlike Patricia who has a husband at his later 40’s, Adeney is a divorcee. She has to bring up her baby by herself in the future.

Elizabeth Adeney conceived her baby using donor eggs and sperm after receiving the in vitro fertility treatment in Ukraine in 2008. In the UK, the hospitals did not offer the IVF treatment to the woman whose age is above 50. Source: Dailymail

Video! Here is Salma Hayek Breastfeeding An African Baby Boy video. On a UNICEF’s humanitarian mission to Sierra Leone, Salma Hayek volunteered to breastfeed a starving baby when learning the tot’s mom can breasfeed him. Coincidently, the baby boy shares the same birthday with her daughter Valentina.  Salma Hayek’s good deeds was filmed on the cameras of ABC’s Nightline News. 

In the video above, Salma Hayek told “Nightline” co-anchor Cynthia McFadden that she thought her daughter wouldn’t mind sharing her milk. “Am I being disloyal to my child by giving her milk away?” Hayek said. “I actually think my baby would be very proud to share her milk. And when she grows up I’m going to make sure she continues to be a generous, caring person.”

Hayek also told McFadden that that the idea of helping a child in this way had a long tradition in her family. She related a story about her great-grandmother many years ago in Mexico saving the starving baby of a stranger by breastfeeding the child. Link

Lisa Chamberlain, a British woman from UK’s Porthsmouth, is a soon-to-be mom. A bit surperised, the 25-year-old pregger was found conceiving dicephalous (or siamese, conjoined) twins with two heads but one body. Ignoring Doctors’ suggest to terminate her pregnancy, Lisa Chamberlain, who is inspired by US’s extraordinary Abigail and Brittany Hensel twins (pictures below) [wikipedia], refused to abort her unborn babies who will have only a 20% chance of survival, calling them ‘gift from God.’ (more…)
