Colby Curtin, from Huntington Beach, California, is a 10 year old girl. Colby Curtin was diagnosed with vascular cancer in 2005. Curtin had a final wish to watch Disney/Pixar animation movie Up after she saw previews for the film in April.

On June 9 when Colby was too sick to watch the movie in the theatre, a family friend contacted both Disney and Pixar. Pixar officials agreed to send someone to Colby’s house the following day with a DVD copy of Up for a private screening.
Seven hours after Colby Curtin watched the picture and fullfilled her last wish, the poor vascular cancer-stricken girl passed away at night.
“When I watched it, I had really no idea about the content of the theme of the movie,” Lisa Curtin, Colby’s mother told to The Orange County Register, according to AP. “I just know that word ‘Up’ and all of the balloons and I swear to you, for me it meant that (Colby) was going to go up. Up to heaven.”
