When you fly in or out of Iran, strongly advised not to take a flight by any Iranian airlines. Reasons:

Iran, which favours Russian aircraft after years of international sanctions, has suffered a number of aviation disasters over the past decade.

Iran’s civil and military fleet is made up of aircraft in poor condition due to age and lack of maintenance. The Iranian regime is barred by sanctions from buying American Boeing planes or European Airbus craft when they include a significant number of US parts.

As long as Mahmoud Ahmadinejad as Iran’s President is hostile to the West, the sufferings of the Iranian airlines will never end.
