US Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg [wikipedia] was hospitalized for surgery for pancreatic cancer today. Justice Ginsburg, 75, who is the only woman on the 9-membered highest court of USA, has admitted to the Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center in New York for an operation to remove of a cancerous tumor in her pancreas. Justice Ginsburg who was a colon cancer survivor was found having the pancreatic lesion during a routine annual check-up in late January at the National Institutes of Health in Bethesda, Maryland. A Computerized Axial Tomography (CAT) Scan revealed a small tumor, approximately 1 (centimeter) across, in the center of the pancreas, according to the Supreme Court’s statement was quoted on LAT.
