Stephen Tyrone Johns, a security officer of U.S. Holocaust Memorial Museum, was shot dead by James von Brunn, the 89-year-old white supremacist, on Wednesday afternoon. Stephen Tyrone Johns, from Temple Hills, Maryland, has worked at the museum for six years. He was 39 years old.

“Officer Stephen Tyrone Johns died heroically in the line of duty today. There are no words to express our grief and shock over these events.” ” Holocaust Memorial said in a statement.

The museum will be closed Thursday and flags flown at half-staff in honor of Mr. Johns.

James von Brunn, 89, Is Washington DC Holocaust Museum Gunman

James von Brunn, 89, is the gunman of Holocaust Museum shooting in Washington DC today. James von Brunn, described as a White supremacist by the media, opened fire in the lobby of Holocaust Museum this afternoon.

He shot dead security guard Stephen Tyrone Johns before himself being shot in the head by two other security guards. James von Brunn is in critical condition and will probably die from the gun wounds.

Who is James von Brunn? Biography from his own website holywesternempire.org:

James W. von Brunn holds a BachSci Journalism degree from a mid-Western university where he was president of SAE and played varsity football.

During WWII he served as PT-Boat captain, Lt. USNR, receiving a Commendation and four battle stars. For twenty years he was an advertising executive and film-producer in New York City. He is a member of Mensa, the high-IQ society.

In 1981 Von Brunn attempted to place the treasonous Federal Reserve Board of Governors under legal, non-violent, citizens arrest. He was tried in a Washington, D.C. Superior Court; convicted by a Negro jury, Jew/Negro attorneys, and sentenced to prison for eleven years by a Jew judge. A Jew/Negro/White Court of Appeals denied his appeal. He served 6.5 years in federal prison. He is now an artist and author and lives on Maryland’s Eastern Shore.
