Chris Baker’s last pic

Chris Baker, one of the four victims who vanished in the fatal plane crash in Columbia of South Carolina, left his final photo on cell phone just 31 minutes before the Learjet crashed. The 29-year-old former Blink-182 drummer Travis Barker’s assistant e-mailed a friend the photo attached with the text “Go hard on the block”, reported TMZ.com. The picture shows a red-capped Chris Baker in a white top standing front of the private jet right before its doomed takeoff. R.I.P.!

Lil Chris Baker (TMZ.com)

Chris Baker (picture above), 29, who died on the fatal plane crash in Columbia of South Carolina was just married. I can’t hold back my tears when learning Baker, Travis Barker’s assistant on the reality show “Meet the Barkers,” is also a new father. Our condolences to Chris Baker’s wife and new baby!

Update: Chris Baker’s full name is Lil Chris Baker. He is from Studio City, Calif. and managed Travis Barker’s L.A. punk-fashion boutique Fast Life.  Lil Chris Baker’s son is two years old.

Travis Barker Plane Crash Injured: Travis Barker Survived Fatal Learjet Crash in Columbia, South Carolina!

The former drummer of band Blink 182 was in critical condition after the private jet he took plunged to the ground when departing from a South Carolina airport in the early hours of Saturday, September  20. The accident left another injuried and killed four. Travis Barker is now treated at a burn center in Augusta, Georgia.

According to the reports, Barker had performed Friday night at an event alongside Perry Farrell, the former Jane’s Addiction singer, as well as Gavin DeGraw and DJ AM.

Hospital officials confirmed that DJ AM, whose real name is Adam Michael Goldstein, had also been admitted to the burn unit in critical condition. It was unknown whether Farrell and DeGraw were also traveling with Barker.

Federal Aviation Administration spokeswoman Kathleen Bergen said the plane carrying six people was departing shortly before midnight Friday from Columbia when air traffic controllers reporting seeing sparks. She said the plane went off the runway and crashed on a nearby road.

Bergen said the Lear 60 was headed to Van Nuys, California. She was unable to confirm the names of who was on board.

Update 1: Perry Farrell is safe as he was not on the doomed jet.

Update 2: Three of four victims were identified, they were Travis Barker’s assistant, Chris Baker, 29, and the pilot Sarah Lemmon and co-pilot James Bland.

Update 3: Travis Barker and DJ AM saved their own lives after their plane crashed by jumping out the door of the burning plane.

Update 4: A fourth victim was identified as Charles Still, 25, of Los Angeles. Travis Barker and DJ AM fortunately got some help from Mr. William Owens who was then driving down Highway 302 before they were rushed to the hospital.

Update 5: TMZ reported Travis Barker has been burned from the waist down while DJ AM’s face was severely burned.

Update 6: With Travis Barker and DJ AM expected to make full recoveries, the cause of their plane crash tragedy might arise from a blew tyre. From BBC:

A plane crash which left ex-Blink-182 drummer Travis Barker and disc jockey DJ AM with burns and killed four, may have been caused by a tyre blowout. [...]

A safety official said that a cockpit voice recording suggested the crew tried unsuccessfully to abort take-off after hearing a probable blowout.
