Who is Lu Jun? Lu Jun is the vice director of the City Urban Planning Bureau in Zhengzhou, Henan Province. Lu Jun hit the news headlines in China on June 17 after he was revealed to question a journalist, “Are you prepared to speak for the (Communist) Party? Or are you prepared to speak for the common folks?” when the reporter tried to interview him on a possible illegal housing project.
The logic of “speaking for the Party or the People” has certainly put Lu Jun under fire. However, now his profile photo has become even more discussed among the Chinese blogosphere. Eagle-sighted netizens pointed out Lu Jun’s bio picture on the website of Zhengzhou Government was photoshoped from nobody other than the very Chinese President Hu Jintao’s official portrait.
